Parking at the zoo costs $15 per car and can be purchased online or at the zoo's entrance. The zoo's main entrance and walk-in entrance are open year-round. The zoo's west entrance is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, and is used to expedite entry for Zoo Pass members and those who buy tickets ahead of time.

How long does it take to see the zoo? With 190 acres of land and over 2,200 animals, it's easy to make an entire day out of a visit to the Milwaukee Zoo. If you're not trying to see every exhibit or experience every attraction, two to three hours should give you enough time to see your favorite animals.

Food, special attractions, and rides are offered for an additional fee. Zoological Society membership is valid for A La Carte. Food and beverage vendors will accept credit or debit cards only — no cash. A cash-to-card kiosk will be available in the U.S. Bank Gathering Place to convert cash to a pre-paid card if needed.

Giraffe feeding time is a tall task! This unique experience allows you to get eye-to-eye with the tallest animals at the Zoo.

Family Free Days are a perfect opportunity for you, along with your family and friends, to come and enjoy the Zoo, free of charge (parking and concession fees still apply). Family Free Days are held January-March and October-December, one Saturday a month + winter break.

No payment required nor any restrictions are enforced at metered space on Sundays and on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Pets are not allowed at the Zoo. Service animals that assist individuals with disabilities and comply with the Milwaukee County ADA Service Animal Procedure are welcome at the Zoo.
